BIOGRAPHY

国立音楽大学卒業。桐朋学園大学研究科指揮専攻修了。
ヴァイオリンを吉野薫、永峰高志、久保田巧の各氏に、指揮を梅田俊明氏に師事。
現在、ヴィオラ奏者として国内オーケストラや室内楽で活動する他、
数多くのライブサポートやレコーディングなどに参加している。
大学在学中よりEnsemble Burgを主宰し、音楽監督・指揮を務めるなど指揮にも力を注ぎ、
これまでに、PLANET TERRA Youth Orchestra、くじら第九合唱団、
宮崎県川南町モーツァルト音楽祭イタリア・ブレシア公演を指揮し、いずれも好評を博した。

Eriya Sawazaki graduated from Kunitachi College of Music and completed the Conducting Program at Toho Gakuen Graduate School.
He studied violin under Kaoru Yoshino, Takashi Nagamine, and Takumi Kubota, and conducting under Toshiaki Umeda.

As a violist, he has performed with numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles in Japan, and has also participated in a wide range of live performances and recording projects.

In addition to his work as a performer, he has pursued conducting with equal dedication. While still a student, he founded Ensemble Burg and has since served as its music director and conductor. He has also conducted the PLANET TERRA Youth Orchestra, the Kujira Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony Choir, and a special performance at the Mozart Festival in Kawaminami, Miyazaki, which was held in Brescia, Italy—all of which received critical acclaim.

He is currently a member of Teatro Giglio Showa and serves as a board member of the Planet Terra Association.
